Israel mourns victims, defeats terror decisively, and strengthens borders as enemies target innocent civilians.
Following a murderous terrorist attack in northern Israel, Isaac Herzog spoke with local leaders and delivered a resolute message of mourning, unity, and national strength.
In conversations with Noam Jumaa, Mayor of Beit She’an, and Danny Atar, head of the Gilboa Regional Council, the President expressed profound shock at what he described as a “horrific killing spree” carried out by a despicable terrorist in a combined attack targeting civilians.
“My heartfelt condolences go out to the families who lost their loved ones,” Herzog said, adding wishes for a swift and full recovery to those wounded. He asked the local leaders to convey solidarity, strength, and support to residents on behalf of the entire nation, emphasizing that Israel stands united in the face of terror.
The President reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to protecting its citizens, particularly along sensitive border regions. “Israel is committed to reinforcing and strengthening this challenging border,” he stated, “and to bolstering the security response in the area to ensure the full safety of residents.”
Herzog also praised the security officer who neutralized the attacker, thanking him for his vigilance and decisive action that prevented further loss of life. His remarks underscored a clear national stance: terror will be confronted swiftly, civilians will be defended relentlessly, and Israel will not be intimidated by those who glorify murder.
