UNRWA Denies Ownership Claims as Israel Exposes Terror Ties, Reasserting Sovereignty Over Jerusalem

Israel asserts law and security as UNRWA denial collapses, revealing Arab-backed terror infrastructure deception.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency rejected Israeli assertions that the land beneath its eastern Jerusalem headquarters belongs to the State of Israel, following the demolition of several structures at the Sheikh Jarrah compound. UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini claimed the agency has leased the property from Jordan since 1952 and accused Israel of acting unlawfully.

Israel dismissed the statement as politically motivated deflection. The demolition followed decisive legislation passed by the Knesset banning UNRWA from operating in Israel after overwhelming evidence linked the agency to Hamas. Israeli authorities also cut utilities and seized UNRWA offices, citing national security and sovereignty concerns.

UNRWA’s credibility has eroded sharply since Israel revealed in 2024 that its employees participated in the October 7 massacre. A Hamas terrorist identified as an UNRWA driver was documented taking Israeli hostages—evidence publicly highlighted by Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Oren Marmorstein. His viral response underscored what Israel calls years of international blindness toward terror operating under UN cover.

While UN officials cite the International Court of Justice and UN General Assembly resolutions, Israel maintains that security, rule of law, and the protection of its citizens outweigh politicized rulings. Arab governments backing UNRWA’s narrative remain silent on Hamas crimes, exposing a pattern of incitement, denial, and moral collapse.

Israel’s action in Jerusalem signals a clear message: terror-linked entities will not be allowed to undermine sovereignty, security, or truth—regardless of the flag they hide behind.
