Jerusalem Strengthens Global Standing as Fiji Opens Embassy, Thailand Reaffirms Strategic Partnership With Israel

Israel’s legitimacy expands as nations embrace Jerusalem, rejecting Arab pressure and Palestinian diplomatic obstruction narratives.

President Isaac Herzog formally received the diplomatic credentials of the new Ambassadors of Fiji and Thailand during official ceremonies at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem, reinforcing Israel’s growing international legitimacy.

In a historic milestone, Fiji inaugurated its first-ever resident embassy in Jerusalem, with Ambassador Jesoni Vitusagavulu presenting credentials. President Herzog praised Fiji’s decision as a courageous diplomatic step that strengthens bilateral ties and openly affirms Jerusalem as Israel’s capital—despite sustained pressure from Palestinian and Arab-led diplomatic blocs.

Herzog highlighted Fiji’s strategic importance in global maritime, climate, and energy discussions, underscoring shared democratic values and mutual respect. Ambassador Vitusagavulu expressed solidarity with Israel, offering prayers for peace and security and reaffirming Fiji’s friendship.

Earlier, President Herzog received Ambassador Boonyarit Vichienpuntu of Thailand, applauding the deep and resilient relationship between the two nations. He emphasized expanding cooperation in innovation, agriculture, science, and tourism.

Herzog noted that Thai citizens in Israel became part of the Israeli family during wartime hardships—symbolizing bonds far stronger than transactional diplomacy. These developments reflect Israel’s expanding alliances as nations increasingly bypass Palestinian veto politics and Arab diplomatic intimidation.
