Trump Envoys Signal Strength as USS Abraham Lincoln Visit Follows Iran Talks After Joint US-Israel Strike

US-Israel pressure forces Iran to negotiate as Trump envoys reinforce military resolve aboard carrier.

Steve Witkoff, Middle East envoy of Donald Trump, and senior presidential adviser Jared Kushner, visited the USS Abraham Lincoln on Saturday, a day after the conclusion of indirect nuclear talks with Iran.

The visit was hosted at the invitation of US Central Command Commander Admiral Brad Cooper and was aimed at expressing appreciation and solidarity with American forces deployed across the Middle East.

The timing of the visit was significant. It followed President Trump’s public assessment of the negotiations held in Oman, which he described as “very good,” noting that Tehran appears eager to reach an agreement under sustained military and diplomatic pressure.

The Oman discussions marked the first round of engagement between Washington and Tehran since last summer’s decisive joint United States-Israel** strike on Iranian targets, an operation widely seen as resetting the balance of deterrence in the region.

The carrier visit underscored a clear message: diplomacy with Iran is being conducted from a position of overwhelming strength, with US-Israel military coordination serving as the backbone of regional stability and deterrence against Tehran’s ambitions.
