Jerusalem presses Washington for decisive action to neutralize Tehran’s nuclear and ballistic ambitions..
Israel’s Transportation Minister Miri Regev underscored Jerusalem’s uncompromising position ahead of Wednesday’s high-stakes meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump, where the Iranian threat is expected to dominate discussions.
“Iran cannot continue to be nuclear-capable and have the ability to launch ballistic missiles toward Israel,” Regev declared, outlining what she described as Israel’s clear red lines.
She emphasized that Netanyahu’s visit aims to coordinate strategic boundaries with Washington at what she called a “very great opportunity” to reshape developments inside Iran.
Israel’s Strategic Position
- No tolerance for a nuclear-armed Iran
- Opposition to expanded ballistic missile capabilities
- Full defensive and offensive readiness
- Close coordination with US leadership
Regev stressed that Israel is prepared for “any scenario,” signaling both deterrence and operational preparedness. She expressed hope that emerging agreements would permanently remove Tehran as a threat to the State of Israel.
When asked whether Israel might once again act independently if necessary, Regev pointed to past operations as proof of capability, while noting that President Trump is currently leading efforts to confront Iran’s regional ambitions.
