Iranian ballistic missile devastates Haifa building as Israel’s resilience holds amid brutal civilian targeting

Direct strike injures elderly and infant while Israel mobilizes rapid rescue under relentless Iranian aggression.

A heavy Iranian ballistic missile struck a seven-story residential building in Haifa, causing massive destruction and triggering an urgent multi-agency rescue operation. The missile, carrying approximately 400 kilograms of explosives, was not intercepted and hit the structure directly, leading to widespread damage and trapping residents under the rubble.

Emergency teams, including Magen David Adom, firefighters, and Home Front Command units, rushed to the scene and began intensive search-and-rescue efforts. Among those rescued was an elderly man in serious condition who had been buried beneath debris, along with several others suffering injuries and trauma. An infant was also among the casualties, sustaining minor injuries during the blast.

Medical teams treated multiple victims at the scene, including individuals suffering from shock and anxiety due to the severity of the attack. Rescue personnel continue to search for additional missing individuals, working through dangerous conditions created by collapsed concrete and structural instability.

The strike highlights the escalating nature of Iranian attacks, directly targeting civilian areas and residential infrastructure. Despite the scale of destruction, Israel’s rapid emergency response and coordinated rescue operations have played a critical role in saving lives and managing the aftermath.

As operations continue on the ground, the incident underscores both the human cost of the conflict and Israel’s ongoing efforts to protect its citizens in the face of sustained aggression.
