UK Faith Leaders Unite As Antisemitic Violence Sparks Urgent Stand With British Jews Nationwide Now

Britain’s religious voices defend Jewish citizens against extremist hatred after escalating violent attacks nationwide today..

Religious leaders across the United Kingdom have signed a powerful open letter standing firmly with Britain’s Jewish community after a disturbing rise in antisemitic attacks, threats, and vandalism. The letter, organized by the Together Coalition and supported by voices from faith groups, business, sport, and media, described recent hostility against Jews as a nightmare from another era and warned that extremism must not be allowed to poison British society.

Representatives from Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, and Zoroastrian communities declared that British Jews are an inseparable part of the nation. The message was direct: the country belongs to Jewish citizens as much as anyone else, and all communities must help protect them from those who threaten their safety.

The statement followed several serious incidents, including attacks on synagogues, Jewish communal sites, Hatzola ambulances, and Jewish individuals. Two men were recently stabbed in Golders Green, while earlier attacks included arson, vandalism, and deadly violence outside a Manchester synagogue on Yom Kippur.

The signatories stressed that fighting antisemitism cannot be left to Jews alone. Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis welcomed the letter as a strong answer to hateful extremists and urged workplaces, classrooms, boardrooms, and social media users to join the effort.

The message is clear: Britain’s Jewish community must not stand alone. Civil society must confront antisemitism with unity, courage, and action.
