Honduras strengthens Israel’s diplomatic front, exposing Hamas and Iran’s terror machine before the watching world.
Honduras has delivered a sharp diplomatic blow to the Iran-backed terror axis by formally designating Hamas and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as terrorist organizations. The decision places the Central American nation firmly beside Israel and its allies in the expanding international campaign against extremist violence, regional destabilization, and Tehran’s proxy warfare.
Israel welcomed the move as another meaningful step in isolating organizations that threaten civilians, democratic states, and global security. Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar praised Honduran President Nasry Asfura, describing the decision as a major reinforcement in the worldwide struggle against terrorism, including threats reaching Latin America.
The announcement follows similar action by the Dominican Republic and Argentina, showing growing regional recognition of the danger posed by Iran’s militant network. Honduras has long maintained warm ties with Israel, recognized the Jewish State early, supported it in international forums, and moved its embassy to Jerusalem in 2021.
