Trump Nears Iran Strike As Tehran Stalls Talks And Demands Frozen Cash Before Peace Deal

Washington warns Tehran has days to compromise as Israel’s security demands decisive American pressure.

A US official said President Donald Trump is moving closer to renewed military action against Iran as negotiations remain stalled and Tehran continues pushing demands instead of offering a serious breakthrough.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, the official said Trump’s patience is running out and that Iran now has “days, not weeks” to present something meaningful enough to break the deadlock. The warning comes as Washington signals that diplomacy cannot continue endlessly while Iran maintains pressure across the region.

Senior Republican Senator Lindsey Graham also urged Trump to deliver a “short but forceful response,” arguing that a decisive strike could reset the conflict and restore American deterrence.

Meanwhile, an Iranian official told Reuters that Washington has shown flexibility in talks, including on nuclear restrictions and the possible release of 25 percent of Iran’s frozen funds under a defined timetable.

Tehran, however, is demanding the release of all frozen funds, a permanent end to the war, sanctions relief, and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. The demands underline Iran’s attempt to extract concessions while avoiding full accountability for its destabilizing conduct.
