US Strikes Iranian Radar And Drone Sites As Trump Defends Nuclear Deal Framework

CENTCOM targets IRGC threats while President insists any Iran agreement must clearly block nuclear weapons”

US Central Command announced Monday that American forces carried out targeted defensive strikes against Iranian military sites used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ drone and UAV network.

CENTCOM said the strikes hit radar installations and command-and-control facilities in southern Iran, including sites linked to Iran’s ability to operate drones over the Persian Gulf. The operation followed what Washington described as aggressive Iranian actions, including the downing of a US MQ-1 drone operating over international waters.

During the operation, US forces reportedly destroyed Iranian air defenses, a control station and two attack drones assessed as an immediate threat to American forces and maritime traffic.

The strikes came as President Donald Trump pushed back against media reports questioning the nuclear provisions of a possible agreement with Tehran. Posting on Truth Social, Trump accused CNN of falsely claiming the deal does not address Iran’s nuclear program, insisting that the framework clearly states Iran will not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.

Trump’s message reflects Washington’s dual-track approach: negotiations remain open, but Iranian military threats will be met with force. For Israel and America, the central demand remains unchanged: Iran must lose its nuclear path, stop threatening Hormuz and end attacks against US forces and allies.
