Iran Prepares Deal Revisions As Trump Demands Stricter Nuclear Terms Before Any Agreement

Tehran threatens renewed conflict while Washington insists Iran surrender uranium leverage and abandon nuclear weapons path”

Iran is reportedly preparing a fresh round of revisions to a preliminary agreement with the United States after President Donald Trump demanded tougher language and stricter conditions in the text.

Iran’s Tasnim news agency, which is close to the IRGC and hard-line factions, reported that indirect negotiations remain active and that Tehran will submit its own changes. A source familiar with the talks said nothing is final yet.

The same source warned that Iran is prepared for a return to open conflict if no understandings are reached, signaling that Tehran is still trying to pressure Washington while negotiating.

The Iranian report follows claims that Trump requested several targeted amendments during a Situation Room meeting at the White House. The original draft reportedly included only a general Iranian pledge not to pursue nuclear weapons, while leaving major details for later negotiations.

Trump is now seeking to front-load key terms, especially on Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile and future enrichment activity. The proposed framework would open a 60-day diplomatic window to negotiate nuclear restrictions and sanctions relief, but Washington wants stronger guarantees before approving anything.

In an interview with Lara Trump, the president said the United States will get what it wants from Iran and is in no hurry to sign. He said America has essentially defeated Iran’s military and would prefer a deal because the Strait of Hormuz could reopen immediately.

Trump stressed that one guarantee is non-negotiable: Iran cannot have nuclear weapons.
