Reza Pahlavi Warns West: Any Deal That Saves Iran’s Regime Will Fail — ‘Freedom Will Come

Reza Pahlavi condemns any US-Iran deal preserving Tehran’s regime, urging support for Iranian protesters and warning compromise will collapse..

Exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi delivered a thunderous warning on Tuesday, condemning any diplomatic framework that allows the Islamic Republic to survive and warning that such a deal would only embolden Tehran’s brutal rulers.

His remarks came as Washington was reportedly finalizing arrangements to implement a landmark treaty with Tehran — a move Pahlavi fiercely rejected during an official visit to London, where he briefed Members of Parliament.

Pahlavi, 65, urged Western governments to stop rewarding the regime with diplomatic lifelines and instead invest in the courage of Iran’s grassroots opposition movement.

“Dealing with this regime will fail and we will all face the consequences,” he declared.

He warned that the Islamic Republic’s hostility is not temporary policy but the foundation of its rule.

“The regime’s 47-year war against the Iranian people continues. Just as it has never made peace with its own citizens, it will never truly make peace with the world.”

A Symbol of Resistance — and a Polarizing Figure

Pahlavi is the son of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, Iran’s last shah, who fled the country in 1979 as the Islamic Revolution destroyed the monarchy and handed power to the clerical regime.

Today, the crown prince remains one of the most recognized figures in the Iranian opposition. He has repeatedly called for a nationwide referendum to let Iranians choose a new system of government.

Yet his role remains divisive. Supporters see him as a unifying symbol of secular, pro-Western resistance; critics object to his support for Israel and argue that he has not fully distanced himself from the authoritarian record of his father’s rule.

Trump Keeps Distance From Endorsing Pahlavi

U.S. President Donald Trump has avoided fully endorsing Pahlavi as Iran’s future leader, saying he appears “very nice” but questioning whether the Iranian people would accept him.

“We really aren’t up to that point yet,” Trump said.

Still, Pahlavi made clear that the issue is bigger than his personal political future. In his view, no agreement can succeed if it leaves the Islamic Republic intact.

“Any agreement that preserves this regime or its remnants will fail. The Iranian people will not accept it.”

A Direct Challenge to Tehran — and to the West

Pahlavi’s message lands at a critical moment for Israel, the United States, and the free world. Tehran’s regime continues to arm terror proxies, threaten Israel, destabilize the region, and suppress its own people with ruthless force.

For Jerusalem, Pahlavi’s warning cuts to the heart of the strategic dilemma: peace with the regime is an illusion if the regime itself is built on exporting terror, crushing dissent, and pursuing regional domination.

He ended with a defiant promise:

“With or without international support, the people of Iran will overthrow this regime. Freedom will come to Iran.”
