IDF Chief of Staff: “We’re Approaching a Turning Point in Gaza”

Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir conducted an operational tour Monday in central Khan Yunis, the core of Operation Gideon’s Chariots, alongside senior military leadership. The visit included an on-ground assessment with commanders and troops from five engaged divisions.

“We are active on every front,” Zamir said. “Gaza is our main arena, but operations are ongoing in Lebanon, Yemen, and we’re closely monitoring Iran.”

Zamir emphasized the IDF’s unwavering goals: returning the hostages, dismantling Hamas, and restoring security to Israeli communities. “We will not compromise,” he declared.

Highlighting progress, he confirmed over 1,300 Hamas operatives killed, including top leaders Yahya Sinwar and Marwan Shabana, and significant destruction of underground infrastructure. “These are the most decisive results since Operation Swords of Iron. We are approaching a critical turning point.”

He added that strategic options are now being presented to political leadership, all focused on achieving a decisive resolution.

Concluding, Zamir praised the troops: “Every achievement here is because of you. You are driving us toward victory.”
