Fatah Summer Camp Chief Urges Children to Become “Next Generation of Fighters” Against Israel

At a youth camp in Shechem, Fatah’s Muhammad Hamdan rallies children to join the fight against Israel, promising they will see the “defeat of the occupier.”

In a striking display of political indoctrination, Fatah Secretary Muhammad Hamdan stood before children at a Fatah Army summer camp in Shechem (Nablus) on August 2, 2025, urging them to embrace the role of future fighters against Israel.

The event, captured on video, posted to Facebook, and translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), shows Hamdan addressing the young participants—whom he called “lion cubs and flowers of Fatah”—and declaring that they are being prepared to “defend their land and Palestinian identity” against what he called Israel’s “plans of annihilation.”

“We rely on you to confront and foil all the conspiracies,” Hamdan told the children, pledging that the future belongs to them and that they would witness the “defeat of the cruel occupier” as Israeli “settlers” and soldiers “flee through seaports and airports.”

While the Palestinian Authority (PA), headed by Mahmoud Abbas, is often portrayed by Western governments as a viable “peace partner” for Israel, Fatah officials continue to incite against Israel—sometimes in the most explicit terms.

Past rhetoric includes:

  • Taher Hamad, Fatah secretary in Indonesia, likening Gaza to Stalingrad and calling the IDF the “new Nazi army.”
  • Jibril Rajoub, Fatah Central Committee Secretary, praising then-Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar as a “pragmatic, patriotic, and realistic man” while accusing Israel of demonizing him.

The PA’s official media has also been caught repeatedly glorifying terrorists who murdered Israelis and broadcasting programming that encourages violence against Israeli civilians.

Critics say Hamdan’s summer camp remarks are part of a systematic indoctrination strategy, grooming Palestinian youth for militant confrontation rather than peaceful coexistence.
