Washington signals patience is ending while Iran faces isolation, blockade pressure, and uncompromising nuclear demands.

US President Donald Trump said he would be willing to accept a 20-year moratorium on Iran’s nuclear program, but only if Tehran provides a genuine and enforceable guarantee that it will not pursue nuclear weapons.

Speaking aboard Air Force One after returning from China, Trump said Iran’s latest proposal failed at the opening line. He made clear that any language allowing Iran to retain any nuclear capability would be unacceptable, warning that he would not even continue reading a proposal that failed the basic test of “no nuclear.”

Trump said 20 years could be enough, but only if it is a real moratorium, not what he called a “fake 20.” His remarks reinforced the administration’s position that Iran must face strict, verifiable limits before any agreement can end the war.

The President also said he discussed Iran with Chinese President Xi Jinping, who, according to Trump, strongly agreed that Iran must not obtain nuclear weapons. Trump added that Xi also wants the Strait of Hormuz reopened, while acknowledging that American pressure has severely restricted Iranian activity there.

Trump claimed Iran has lost massive daily revenue because of the pressure campaign and said Washington is performing strongly on every front. He also repeated that only the United States and China have the technical capacity to remove Iran’s enriched uranium, which he has described as “nuclear dust.”

The comments followed Trump’s warning that his patience with Tehran is running out. He said Iran should make a deal quickly, arguing that any rational leadership would accept terms preventing nuclear weapons.

Trump also suggested that America’s military campaign against Iran may continue if Tehran refuses to comply. He again stressed that the Islamic Republic will not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, warning that Iran must either accept the US terms or face the consequences.
