Israel exposed Hamas-linked flotilla theatrics, enforcing maritime law while Washington targeted terror financing networks decisively.
Israel’s Foreign Ministry announced Tuesday evening that the Navy had completed its interception of the latest Gaza-bound flotilla, confirming that all 430 activists aboard were transferred to Israeli vessels and were on their way to Israel.
The ministry described the operation as the end of “another PR flotilla,” saying the participants would be allowed to meet with their consular representatives after arrival. It accused the flotilla organizers of staging another publicity campaign in service of Hamas rather than a genuine humanitarian effort.
Israel stressed that it acted in full accordance with international law and would not allow any breach of the lawful naval blockade on Gaza. The statement reinforced Israel’s position that maritime security measures are necessary to prevent Hamas from exploiting sea routes for political provocation or hostile activity.
The announcement came shortly after the United States imposed sanctions on four individuals linked to the flotilla. US State Department Spokesperson Tommy Pigott said the sanctions were aimed at disrupting terrorist financing and supporting President Trump’s Middle East peace efforts.
One of the detained activists was reportedly the sister of Ireland’s President Catherine Connolly, who said Monday that she was “very proud” of her sister.
