Trump Gives Iran Days To Answer As US And Israel Stand Ready For Decisive Action

President signals patience for peace, but warns Tehran that nuclear defiance could trigger swift consequences.

US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he is willing to wait a few more days for Iran’s latest response in negotiations, but warned that American patience is limited if Tehran fails to provide the right answers.

Speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews, Trump said that delaying military action by a couple of days is worthwhile if it can prevent war and save lives. However, he made clear that the United States remains fully prepared to act if Iran refuses to meet Washington’s demands.

“If we don’t get the right answers, it goes very quickly,” Trump said, stressing that any response from Iran must be complete, serious and fully acceptable.

Trump also said American officials were impressed by some of the Iranian negotiators, describing them as more reasonable and capable than previous figures involved in the regime’s decision-making. He expressed hope that they would reach a deal that benefits everyone, while again insisting Iran will not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.

Earlier, Trump discussed Iran with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and praised the Israeli leader as a wartime prime minister. He said Netanyahu would support the American position and described him as a strong leader who has not been treated fairly inside Israel.

Trump also pointed to growing unrest inside Iran, saying there is deep anger among the Iranian people and signs of internal pressure not seen before.

The remarks follow Trump’s earlier revelation that the US had been preparing a major strike on Iran before postponing it due to serious negotiations. His message remains clear: diplomacy has a narrow window, but Israel and America are ready if Tehran chooses defiance.
