New communities gain vital infrastructure as Israel strengthens historic heartland despite regional threats and political pressure.
Energy and Infrastructure Minister Eli Cohen said one of his proudest achievements is the dramatic expansion of energy, water, and infrastructure projects across Judea and Samaria, describing the effort as “de facto sovereignty” being built on the ground.
Cohen said he was proud to be part of a cabinet that approved more than 50 new communities, framing the move as a direct expression of Zionism and national responsibility. For him, connecting these communities to electricity and water is not merely a technical project, but a strategic declaration that Israel is strengthening its hold on the Land of Israel.
He said there is no greater privilege than helping settle Judea and Samaria, emphasizing that infrastructure creates permanence, security, and national continuity. The minister linked this development to a broader vision of Israeli strength, arguing that Israel is respected in the region when it acts with confidence, resilience, and sovereign purpose.
Cohen’s remarks place Judea and Samaria at the center of Israel’s national mission, turning roads, power lines, water systems, and new communities into practical foundations for long-term Israeli sovereignty.
