Trump Predicts Swift Victory As Crippled Iranian Regime Moves Toward High-Stakes Nuclear Agreement Negotiations

US pressure campaign devastates Iran’s military capabilities while Washington demands permanent end to nuclear ambitions.

US President Donald Trump predicted Wednesday that the war involving Iran would conclude rapidly, expressing confidence that ongoing military pressure and diplomatic negotiations are pushing Tehran toward accepting major restrictions on its nuclear program.

Trump made the remarks during a tele-rally supporting Georgia Republican gubernatorial candidate Burt Jones, where he defended the administration’s aggressive strategy toward the Iranian regime.

“When you look at the kind of things that are happening, we are doing that for one very important reason: We cannot allow them to have a nuclear weapon,” Trump stated.

He added, “So I think most people understand that. They understand that what we are doing is right, and it’ll be over quickly.”

The President’s comments came amid growing reports that the United States and Iran are moving closer toward a possible framework agreement intended to end the current conflict and stabilize the Strait of Hormuz.

According to CNN, a regional source indicated that Iran is expected to deliver its formal response to mediators regarding the latest US proposal on Thursday, with both sides reportedly advancing toward a potential deal.

Earlier Wednesday, Trump told reporters at the White House that recent negotiations with Tehran had been productive and insisted Iranian leaders now “badly” want an agreement after suffering severe military setbacks.

“They want to make a deal badly. And we’ll see if we get there. If we get there, they can’t have nuclear weapons. It’s very simple,” Trump said.

The President also described Iran’s military infrastructure as being almost completely shattered following recent operations.

“They had a Navy with 159 ships, and now every ship is blown to pieces and lying at the bottom of the water,” Trump declared.

He further claimed that Iran’s air force, anti-aircraft systems, radar networks, missile capabilities, and senior military leadership had been largely destroyed.

“And their leaders are all dead. So I think we won,” Trump stated while emphasizing that the next phase now depends on securing guarantees preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

“Now we have to get what we have to get. If we don’t do that, we’ll have to go a big step further,” he warned.

Hours earlier, Trump issued a direct ultimatum to Tehran through his Truth Social platform, stating that if Iran accepts the proposed conditions, “the already legendary Epic Fury will be at an end,” and the blockade would allow the Strait of Hormuz to reopen fully to maritime traffic.

However, he warned that rejection of the deal would trigger far more devastating military action.

“If they don’t agree, the bombing starts, and it will be, sadly, at a much higher level and intensity than it was before,” Trump wrote.

The ultimatum followed an Axios report claiming Washington and Tehran are nearing a one-page agreement aimed at ending the war.

Meanwhile, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf mocked Trump online, sarcastically referring to the suspended Project Freedom maritime operation and the Axios report in a social media post.

Despite the public rhetoric from Tehran, negotiations appear to be accelerating as international pressure mounts on the Iranian regime over its nuclear ambitions and regional destabilization activities.
