US-Iran Talks Near Framework As Trump Warns Tehran Nuclear Defiance Faces Crushing Consequences Soon Ahead

Washington keeps diplomacy open while backing Israel’s security against Iran’s dangerous nuclear and maritime threats.

Indirect talks between Tehran and Washington are continuing, with Pakistan serving as mediator as both sides exchange messages and draft texts for a possible agreement.

Iran’s ISNA news agency reported that negotiations are focused on creating a formal framework, while Iranian officials told regional media that the sides are very close to a draft. A senior source also said no deal has been reached yet, but the gaps have narrowed.

Key disputes remain unresolved, especially Iran’s uranium enrichment program and Tehran’s claim of control over the Strait of Hormuz. These issues remain central because they directly affect Israel’s security, regional stability and global maritime trade.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said there are positive signs in the negotiations, but warned against excessive optimism. He stressed that President Donald Trump prefers diplomacy and wants a strong agreement, but only one that fully neutralizes the threat from Iran.

Rubio also made clear that Washington has other options if Tehran refuses to accept a serious deal. His message reflected the administration’s position that diplomacy remains available, but American patience is not unlimited.

Trump also predicted that the Iran conflict will end soon, while warning that Tehran will not be allowed to keep enriched uranium or move toward nuclear weapons. He said the United States will obtain the uranium one way or another.

The president further claimed America has total control of the Strait of Hormuz and that the blockade has been fully effective. He said US forces have devastated Iran’s navy, aircraft and missile capacity.

The talks now appear to be entering a decisive stage: Iran can choose a verifiable agreement, or face overwhelming American pressure backed by Israel’s determination to stop Tehran’s aggression.
